If you read the above thread by LC has had some issues with emissions, imagine that!! I got it narrowed down to a bad Cat. Does anyone know anyplace here in the valley where I can get this done. I know there was a previous thread about a similar topic. I have had work done at Apache Muffler before and would probably take it there, if there are no other suggestions. I don't want to spead the $900 for a new one. So I might look at cruiserparts.net. I just looked at Man-a-Fre and they have a high flow cat with the fitting for the heat sensor for $315. Maybe I will go with that one. Anyone have any other suggestions. Since my tags are expired I try not to drive it much or else I would have went to the get together today.

Call Mesa Muffler. They're pretty good at gettin ya in quick. Otherwise you could try my buddy at 20 valve. Also there's no reason a Cat should cost $900.

I need to go read that other thread, but sounds as though the problem may lay somewhere else. Bad cat shouldn't cause too much of a failure because you should certainly be able to pass emissions without one.

According to my guy at Bell Rd Toyota, when Toyota USA jacks up a price like
that, it's because they have only a handful of that part left.
That's why my P/S pump bracket lists for $275 instead of the $75 it used to.
