if anyones interested, spotted a 1970 fj-40 at the pick and pull, west end edmonton.it's in the storage area, and hasn't made it to the yard yet.
it's a hard-top,missing it's roof.most of body is there.drivetrain is there.frame appears solid at a quik glance.didn't lift hood,so wether it's gas or diesel is unknown.looks like it was a project that got pushed aside.

if you need parts, you may be able to buy the whole thing before the "mechanics" destroy it. cheers.mike.

for real. this isnt some kind of sick joke. ill have to check daily now. any idea when it could be out

yup,for real...only the third cruiser iv'e ever seen there.last year there was a gasser 60 series,a month ago there was a completely stripped right hand drive import wagon.

if you ask the manager, you might be able to buy the carcass right out of storage.if things follow the usual pattern,it'll be about 2 weeks before it gets close to the yard.

assuming they don't crush it out of hand...if you walk out the main doors, follow along the fence line towards the truck section of the yard...halfway down, peek over the fence.twenty feet away from the cruiser sits a reg' cab toyota pickup(80's ???).solid axles and all...

That 40 even has a saginaw PS pump on it!
That end gate / lift up hatch are big money....

i think im going to try to pick it up, i might have a use for it. i wonder if she runs.
if i grab it any one want the v8 crap

The only mildly desirable part that I would be interested in are the doors.
I'm looking in making some half doors.

That Cruiser is to be used in a movie and should be picked up any day now. The lady said it will end up being painted and used for shooting, and may be returned to the Pick N Pull someday but they don't know for sure.

last i saw it was down to the 350 and the tub. It was also on the next row to be crushed at pick and pull like a week ago. it was pretty stripped down, any thing worth getting was gone.
