Okay I'm wanting to get my CB mounted in my 8" Tuffy, and in the DIN slot on the front there's a kind of metal frame with a perfect sized DIN cutout in it. It's held in place by tabs and looks like there's a couple welded spots to secure it. Now why the hell would Tuffy weld the thing in place, when removing it would make the opening the perfect size for an average CB? Anyone know of a good way to bust this little frame out, or any alternative methods to mounting up a CB (and its mic) in a 62?
