First time wheeling my 80 - Kyburz, CA (lots of pics!)

Finally got a chance to take my 80 off the pavement! Went out to the Kyburz area (Silver Fork rd) and explored a few of the dirt roads out there. It was just the wife and I and her parents, so I didn't want to try anything crazy.

And I still managed to get stuck!!! Made a total noob mistake. Took a wrong line on hill and got hung near the transfer case. Spent about an hour digging and adding rocks under the tires to free myself. Next mod: bumper and a winch!

I'm very new to the off road world so this was some fun practice. Hope to get into the more technical stuff as time goes on.

Very cool. That's my favorite area for trails and camping and shooting. Was up there a month ago.

getting stuck on a bump is not so much a noob mistake as was not taking along a $60 HiLift which would have gotten you out in 2 minutes...
