We took the family for warm homemade candy-canes in Columbia, CA yesterday and we were pleasantly welcomed by a light dusting of snow. Girls got so excited that I could not ignore it any longer so we headed up the pass toward Pinecrest and found plenty of fresh powder to play in. I just had to take a few shots of the 80 with a light dusting.

Did find that I have a few cold weather bugs to check into though... rear defrost was a joke and my new Bosch wiper blades were less then stellar in the snow. And I really hope that a set of Husky Floor Liners are under the tree because I had a bit of a mess from the kids snow covered boots.

Rear defrost works okay if there's only a few people in the truck....once you get 3+ people in there it can't keep up.

I've found that the OEM blades are superior to anything else I've used. I've tried about half a dozen different ones, and none of them are as good (especially on the rear blade).

Anyway, thanks for sharing!

X2 on Rear defrost, commonly called rear window defogger. It's mainly only good for melting ice that's formed over night
on the the rear window and even for that, you must have much patience. Moving (fresh source) air is much more effective to keep any and all windows "defogged". Higher fan speed is a big plus with defrost vents at least partially selected. Once ice is melted, rear wiper will remove an area that you can see out of. Or you can use old tried and true: snow brush and ice scraper.

Does "No Parking" exclude Santa? Just kidding...I am taking a trip to Michigan over Christmas and it didn't take a bit of convincing on my part to take the LX. Great pics.

What size tires are on your rig?

It looks good! Fun in the snow......hard to beat.

Looks like you were having fun!

Nice pictures. Great looking rig with no roof rack and rear wind deflector. I bet the kids had a blast in the snow.

This is from two weeks ago, we just got a couple more inches today. That ice and snow accumlated from the time I arrived at work to the time I left.

Just big enough.... 315/75/16. Thanks to the OME 2.5 kit they fit with no issues.

As much as I enjoyed our trip in the ice and snow I can't say I would be prepared to have my truck look like this on a daily basis.
