1997 FZJ80 40th
James Jennings
So first of all, hello fellow Mudders in the SA area. I have been meaning to post for some time and will try to start making the meetings. I have been a lurker for a while and have conversed with some of you by PM, exchanging info, etc. I live on the NW Part of town outside the loop on I-10 (Stonewall Ranch) near Leon Springs.
I have a '97 FZJ80 with 160k in pretty good shape. Just installed Bump It Offroad Sliders (the Step variation) and purchased, but have not installed the 40th Anniversary leather kit for the first 2 rows from Shane on the Mud. I also was one of the first 5 to buy the a stock bumper bolt on tire carrier swing out From Flank on Mud. https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-...umper-mount-tire-carrier-interest-thread.html I Can't wait to install it, but someone rear ended me last week and I have to wait until I can get the car in and out of the body shop before I start my next project. At least they had good insurance.
I am very bummed to just now read that there is a wrenching get-together tommorrow, 12/11 and that at least one of you will be doing a birf job. I finally sprung for the 80 series FSM a few months ago and have been slowly knocking out things on my list. I have been trying to build up the courage to tackle a birf and front brake job. Alas, tommorrow is filled with family and holiday details. Hopefully there will be another wrenching date in the future - anyone else needing to do a birf job in the next few months?
I look forward to becoming more involved and meeting those of you who are active.
James
