Wanted First Generation 4runner- DFW area- $3000Looking to buy

I am looking for an 85-89 FIRST generation 4runner in good shape. Stock is preferred, but may be interested in modified trucks. I am wanting to make a budget level, RELIABLE, expedition vehicle for trips into RURAL Mexico and Central America. Reliability is key!

What I want: 22RE, 5spd, and preferably SR5.

If its running, I'll pay up to 3,000 if its in good shape, good tires, and lower miles.

I'd be really interested in a non running truck, because I'd like to swap a new motor into it. A non runner I'd be willing to pay up to $1200.

I live in Denton, TX on the north side of Dallas /Fort Worth.

Good looking runner. Definitely too far on the crawler spectrum.

I may have one but it will be after next month and a little more than $3000. Probably closer to $3700 or so. Its an 86 SR5 with everything but the sunroof.
