My rig only has 4 lbs of air in the helper bags and it sits at least a couple of inches higher now than it did before install. Do you think that the KDSS needs recalibration????

It is possible you may need a rebalance if they disengaged the KDSS system when removing rear springs to install bags but that would not be because of a front to back height bias.

The 'stink bug' squat cannot be affected by a KDSS imbalance. What you are seeing is likely a result of the airbags making the characteristic bug stance of the 200 slightly more pronounced than usual. Even 4-5 lbs in bags will do that. It will disappear however once you load up the truck a bit I'd expect. That's usually why you install them.

KDSS imbalance is apparent only in a side to side bias, not front to to back. Front and rear kdss systems are effectively separate (unless of course they completely open the system up to atmosphere when disconnecting for air bag install. If that's the case then you have a real problem and will require a re-pressurisation of system - not just re-calibration (balance reset).

If you want to get rid of the stink bug stance you are going to have to raise the front suspension. like this:

Billfish, are you running rear air bags and did yours lift the rear of your 200 with only 4 lbs of air?

Yes, air bags same as you but installed at same time as replacement shocks all round (kept the stock rear springs for ride comfort however). Others have commented on the effect of airbags raising the south end despite not replacing springs or shocks. Stands to reason. Go out and lift the back end. You will find it will rise a fair bit without much effort. If your bags are tight inside the springs when at rest you can be sure they are doing something positive to the height.

But here's a question: did you cut down the bump stop cone sufficiently inside the springs before installing the Firestone Coilrite bags? For that matter do you have the correct bags for a non lifted truck? They are different sized critters and having too long bags in the springs will not help you.
