Picked these sliders up off of craigslist a couple of Summers ago, and finally got them installed. I bought a welder with my Christmas bonus, and this was my first real job with it.
I'm not sure what brand these sliders are, but they were orginally for a Toyota Tacoma ext. cab, and as such were 15 1/2" too long, so I sectioned them, welded them back togther, fabbed up some outriggers out of 3/16" boxed tube, and welded them to the frame with gussets.
All in all they turned out very well, and are quite strong, I think I have about $120.00 into them, so even though they probably aren't as strong or cool as some out there, I paid less than a quarter of what it would have cost me to bolt a set up.:bounce:
Anyways, just thought I'd share with y'all. Here's some pics.:)

Here's a couple more! Don't make fun of my welds.;) My father in law is a welder by trade. He looked at my welds and started laughing. He just said, "well it should hold for the next 400 years". Evidentally quadruple welds aren't nessesary.

Dude nothing wrong with those welds, you should see mine. My motto is, don't make fun of my welds until they fail, then you have all the right to laugh at me.

what are they angles on that tubing??

Thanks for the compliments, but pretty much anybody with a weekend and a welder could do what I did! I'm not sure on the angles, I had to tilt them forward enough so that the outriggers welded flush to the frame. Even with notching out the pinch welds, it was impossible to get the outriggers straight across.
