Hello everyone. Thanks to this amazing forum, I was able to be patient in my search for a clean 100. Therefore, please let me introduce the newest member of the family. Her name is Christine. She was born in 2005, and has 99k miles on her. She is a one owner vehicle and was kept in pristine condition. I purchased her for $17900, so for an '05 with 99k and a clean one owner history, I think I did pretty well. I have an appt. Monday to get the timing belt and water pump replaced along with changing the front/rear diff fluids, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and replacing the spark plugs. I assume I should get the transfer case done? Any other baseline recommendations?

Paul

Wow! My fav color. Jealous. Black with grey interior is the Holy Grail in my book... nicely done.

Nice score! Gray interior is far superior to tan IMHO. Well done.

Thanks everyone, Im super excited. I will definitely do the transfer case, and will have the dealer check the tensioner pulley...thanks for the heads up.

replace your in cabin air filter if it has not been done and keep and eye on your coil packs when you change your spark plugs

Thanks, and if I may ask, what do you mean by keep an eye on my coil packs? I am having a dealer replace the spark plugs, so I assume they know what you're talking about...I hope :(

I passed on this LX due to the grey interior! Glad to see someone appreciates it. BTW I'd do transmission and coolant fluids as well.

Congrats Paul! She looks to be in excellent condition - where are you? Dry state CA, TX, NV, NM, AZ?

Pretty sure this was located in NJ or VA? Testing my memory....

Honestly, I like both ivory and grey interiors but prefer the grey. I am doing the transmission fluid as well, and the coolant fluid will be done during the timing belt replacement. Thanks for the heads up though, and your white with ivory combo is stunning as well.

Actually, NY but not a bad guess lol. A doctor owned her and I was shocked at how clean she is.

Dang, I saw the second picture you posted and remembered it. It was parked against the same curb in the ad photos haha.

Any mods planned?

Dentists, doctors, and wealthy childless people seem to be the best to lift these off of... Lawyers are 50/50. Nice looking vehicle, looks like mine before the dents and scratches.

But of course :) I have already contacted Slee off-road to inquire about lift, bumpers, winch, etc. Monday, I have a an appt. with Lexus to do a complete baseline of ALL fluids, and timing belt change. They quoted me $2349 out the door and are performing a complimentary complete vehicle inspection to make sure it's 100 mechanically sound before I pick her up (they should for what they are charging me) . Then, lift, tires, etc. Therefore, hopefully within 2-4 weeks, I should have a seemingly new 100 locked, cocked, and ready to rock:rimshot:

Thanks, and mine will have dents and scratches soon enough :)

Congrats Paul...$19k sounds like a very good price for an '05 with 99k.

Thanks, and with taxes it was just over $19k which according to NADA and other '05's on Autotrader seems to be a good deal. I have been looking for months, and have been patient. I almost pulled the trigger on an '02 for $15500, and am SOOO glad I passed. For those looking, patience pays off and there are deals to be had.
