After much lurking, reading, researching, and shopping I finally purchased a 2000 LC. 74k miles and paid well under low book from 3rd owner. Have all reciepts from prior owners and service history, clean carfax and title, straight and rust free California car.

It's white with grey leather, third seat and rear ac. I have three keys but no idea what a master looks like or if I should have a keyless entry/remote. There's an aftermarket alarm so I'll probably have to do some more research on the system.

I followed the advice of other members to have a mechanic check it out and the results were very good. I also followed Slee's used LC buyers guide and couldn't find any of the trditional LC problems. I'm needing some new rubber, hence the low price. Probably look into some 285 Revos for now and later this summer an OME lift.

Wish me luck with my new endeavor to transform my mall cruiser into a truly trail capable truck!

Good luck with your LC.

I purchased mine less than a month ago - under book too and have really liked it so far.

Oh! And here is the official mud welcome:

Thanks Kathmandu! I have a buddy who operates a tire business and can get H3 285 size takeoffs. It's an A/T Dueler so I may just grab five of those instead of the Revos. Already on my way to making it better. Just have to decide if I want to tackle the springs and shocks or have a shop do it.

Tim and I a'hunting went
We came upon a maiden's tent.
Though they were many and we were few
I bucked one and Timbuckedtwo

think carefully about these tires. May be cheap but you may be sorry soon that you didn't get brand X. and they have a way of lasting when you don't want them any more... :)

Thanks E9999, I don't think they're REVOS but they are Bridgestone Dueler all terrains.

LoudLX, I don't know if the duelers are stock on the FJC but when I talk to my friend I'll ask.

Mike.

The ones off the h3 are c load rating vs d load rating of most other 285s. I am not sure if that matters or not.
