I sold my 2000 T4R a couple months ago and have been looking for a Taco and finally got it. 2002 TRD Taco, 4x4, double cab with e-locker. I miss the covered cargo area of my 4Runner but hopefully I'll find a matching topper before long. Hate to drop the $$ for a new one so I'll keep searching craigslist for a used cap.

Score, one of the greatest rigs and option packages ever. Nice job, dig the runner too, I miss my '01 that I should have never sold.

Looks great! Let the fun begin.

Well I bought my Taco about a year ago and as much as I love it, I'm starting my search for a 100 series Cruiser. Over the last year I've replaced the timing belt, water pump, breaks, new radiator, tune up, valve cover gaskets, new Cooper AT/3 265/75/16's, and found a Jason topper for it. This has a been a great truck and more than likely I will hold off till I get a couple more kids off my insurance so I can just keep it as my DD. I'm getting around 18 MPG around town so that's a lot better than the 12 -13 MPG I'll probably get with the V-8 in the 100 series. Believe it or not, this truck has 236,000 miles on it and it runs like a new one. The only thing I wished is Toyota was building the 4.0 back in 2002. My wife bought a 2003 4Runner and I like the 4.0, it feels like a V8 and gets a little better than 19 MPG, plus no timing belt to worry about. If all goes well, the Taco should be good for another 100,000 miles before it needs much.

I really like the 1st gen double cabs. I looked for one last summer for a while but I couldn't find one nice enough to justify some ridiculous asking prices. But I did wind up finding a really nice 05 that I plan on keeping for quite a while.

That's a nice looking truck you have there!

Is the shell a slightly different color? My truck is gold and the shell is white...so your's looks much better.

Great color choice. I have the same taco. Over 230K miles and she is still running strong.
