Hey guys/gals,

As some of you know, I've been working on buying a home in Denver/Atlanta for the Past 1.5 years. Due to Job circumstances and market we never executed on either (quite frustrating). Well, after looking at over 100 houses we finally signed a contract on Sunday on our way back from Silverton :)

I now have 4 trucks in my stable, 1 mini that has it's engine half torn out, 1 fj40 that runs fine, 1 lx450, and 1 tacoma. I plan on towing the mini with the Penske truck. My wife will drive the tacoma (bad clutch right now, so no towing for it), that leaves the fj40 and the lexus needing a "ride". I was thinking of having my friend david drive the lx450 w 35" tires (instead of 37") while flat towing the 40. Right now I'm geared at 4.88 and the drive is a pretty straight 580 miles...so I don't think the lx450 will have that great of an issue (Ali recently did this from Chicago to Alberquerque towing a Cherokee and said he did not have major issues).

Ideally I would like to have as many rigs as I can flat bed towed within reasonable cost. Do any of you have any suggestions or services you can offer? What kind of cost could I be looking at? I've got quotes coming in from professional auto transport places and they are bit out of my range.

...on a second note, if anyone is interested...my house in Shawnee is up for sale. large 3 car garage, 220 outlet, tall ceilings, etc.

later,

Kumar

one of proffitt's crew has a healthy setup and tows cruisers a lot...don't know if he'd be interested, but it's worth a shot. don't know what he'd charge.

Bought in the new South Aurora area about 20 minuts south of airport and 6 miles north of parker). Garages in Castle Rock/Parker area were suprisingly small...only about 19' deep in most cases (wife's tacoma with warn trans4mer on front is 19")...plus they cost a tad more :)

thks for remember the b-day!! Did you guys go out wheeling this weekend?

VERY COOL, WELCOME TO THE NIEGBHOR HOOD!
OR THERE GOES THE NIEGBHOR HOOD

no wheeling, just camping, relaxing and shooting the 38 caliber s&w my wife bought awhile back.
wish i'd taken the 12 gauge :D

Congratulations Kumar on the purchase! I'm glad, tho a little jealous that you get to be closer to the mountains. I'll just have to be satisfied with my occasional mountain "fix". It was great to get to meet you in person By the way - the exhaust you had to deal with was mostly vaporized steering fluid - sorry about that!

no worries, not the first time I was behind someone with some sort of "smell" ;)

I think your truck stink was better than those 3 kids in my back seat farting the entire time!!!

now you can stop over and stay at my place on the way to Silverton (if you go again next year), instead of a hotel in Limon/Salina/Hays or wherever else you stay :)
