This might sound lame, but i replaced the flimsy original steering damper on my 62 with one from OME. The thing is, I replicated how the old one was hooked up, but now the steering is a lot tougher (don't laugh, but my truck has NO power steering ..., i do however have huge biceps now ......).
could this thing possibly be fitted the wrong way, and what would happen, in theory, if it was ?

Thx

The orientation of the steering damper installation doesn't make a difference.

Especially without power steering, what you're experiencing is the true difference in hydraulic valving between the two stabilizers.

If it's that hard to turn, you might want to think about putting your old one back on.

I will buy your old one if you want to sell it!! I in 95118 and setup with Paypal!!! :)

Sorry, nothing to contribute to the issue you having...
