Fiberglass Hood 58-84 40 & 45 Series.

I found a website called land cruiser specilist , they sell replacement fiberglass and aluminum body parts.

I am looking to replace my rusty bonnet for me bj40. But the fiberglass hood they are selling is not too good. First the vent is dummy , not open, and they don't come with support rod bracket. They say i have to fabricate my own.

Not to mention the shipping is expensive, the hood costs 375 USD, and with shipping and packaging is about 900 USD, that's like 525 of packing material and shipping .. that much? i live in Vancouver, Canada.

i bought lots of heavy steel parts from Cool Cruiser and the shipping is only like 200 USD, i bought a pair of steel fenders and other metal parts. They located in Texas and is much far away then land cruiser specialist.

Does anyone know where i can get a new metal or fiberglass bonnet for my 40 series? Is fiberglass ok? or steel is better, i don't mind aluminum.

Ihave one on vancouver island. Its been sand blasted there is no rust.Why dont you phone Steve at Extreme Bends hes in Vancouver and can source all that stuff,or John at E4 auto repair on the island 250 746 8977.
