Bent lower link
Destroyed tin foil skid plates throughout
Dent in rear bumper
Finished off front wheel bearing
Numerous pinstripes

I am sure I will find more when I clean it off!

Got some new dents, but they blend in with the old ones pretty well. took out a mirror and some marker lights, no biggie. put a 30 degree angle in my rear driveshaft and put a nice 90 degree twist in it. and the front differential was making a little bit of noise. Looks like I now have an excuse to cut the front suspension off and weld in a sfa.

Lanes fab guys Josh and Greg down the road patched up my driveshaft so well I was able to do 70 mph all the way home. "Thanks to them" Dono how they got the new shafts so straight. I pluralized shafts on purpose cuz what they ended up doing was cutting a spare up and jamming it into the old driveshaft which had a thicker od and welding it HA! funnest trail fix ive had yet!

FJ40 <> Right front fender lamp is loose and intermittent function probably due to bad ground. Rocker panel on same side got folded in a bit, that's what I get for keeping it "pristine" stock and not trimming. Nat88's video shows how I did it. I've lost all my clutch fluid since getting home, grinds a bit. I'm worried that if I pressure wash the mud off it that the truck will just settle down flush on the axles. What a great f*in time! Which mirror do you need? I have one in the box but not sure which it is. I'll check tomorrow.

More to report <> I Was under the truck today bleeding the slave for the empty clutch and noticed the dents and new spiral candy cane design on my front driveshaft along with a badly bruised front U. I guess the guy who said I was hung up on my pumpkin was only about 12"" off? There's another fresh groove in my passenger hub as well. Whoever named Carnage must've been right after all. I suppose I need to do a thorough flush of the undercarriage and exam after all. LC

I told you, with open diff, you have to "FLOOR IT" :D

I have no car blood on my floor garage so that is good. But i haven't went under to take a look.

BUT i have now a high idle. I guess i blew my fuel pump governor diaphragm on my way back.

The FNF trails doesn't look has tight compared to what i've seen at the carnage trail. Next time i may venture in the FNF trails.

If anyone is at all concerened about "flooring it", or being off camber, or getting your truck muddy or scratched up, you don't belong out back at FnF. That place is not for the faint of heart.

sat night i ventured into f&f to show my buddy cliff what the 80 can do. Decided to go down a trail that went threw what we thought was a shallow pond ended up being up to the side mirrors thank god for that snorkel and the skinny pedel:D

Update:

A bit of carb cleaner and some idle screw adjustment and the pig seems to be idling fine again. Still going to change the fuel filter. Need to give it a good drive to be sure.

Also managed to adjust my driver's door 100% correctly, closes flush and tight. the pass. side front door is closer but still a bit off. A small thing but something I've been struggling with since I got it.

Discovered all the bumping pulled my upright spare mount (SOR?) out of the wall so I redid that but left the spare lying flat for now.

All washed, cleaned up and vaccumed ready for someone to buy it!

Any word back from that interested party?

Keep trying!
Dropped mine off this morning to have the
front frame rail boxed and new shackle perches put on.

Friday saw a broken center pin on my drivers side rear spring pack.
I had a spare in the toolbox so my brother inlaw jumped in and we
replaced it. Cause is loose u-bolts.
Came off a rock and slid into a tree and folded the passenger side front
fender under smashing the turn signal. We just pulled it back out and drove on.
Solution is a better driver or tube fenders. (I'm thinking tube fenders!)
Blew a fuse (I think during the above incedent) which caused a light failure
while driving back to camp in the dark!

Saturday was the big break day with the failure of the front frame and spring perch.
Drove it home and have already made arrangements to have it fixed.

A good weekend!

Lane

All fixed, new shackle hangers from RuffStuff. Pretty beefy.
Josh replaced the piece of frame that was ripped off, then boxed that section.
The frame was tweeked about 2 ft. back.
