I'm wanting to run a big tire(a true 35 or a 36) with low lift. Probobly 850/863 OME. I know I will have to do hard core trimming to fit them but I was curious what trimming others had done. I searched for trimming, fender, cutting and wheelwells and found just a few relevant threads with even fewer pictures. Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: I wanted to add that I'm not planning to just lower my bump stops to make the tires not hit. I'm gonna cut till they fit, I just want some ideas.

I know I've been able to "just" stuff a true 36.5" tire in the wheel well with the axle centered on it as close to possible using slightly longer lower control arms and Christo's adjustable uppers. My impression was that to truly stuff anything larger than that actually up in the well would require cutting. S. Jackson will surely have some cutting pics soon I would suspect....

When you say slightly longer how long do you mean? I was thinking I would extend mine maybe an inch or so. Also, what springs are you running and have you dropped your bump stops? Also, what tires are those? XZL's?

Josh, the lower arms are only about 3/8" longer than stock. It doesn't take very much to move things substantially. This was mainly for pinion angle issues but moving the axle back a bit with the lift did help keep it centered. Springs are OME and with trim packers are just under 5" of lift. I lowered the bumpstops 2". I used 1.5" wheel spacers on the oem wheels to widen the stance and allow the tire to stuff. Yes, the tires are 9.0R16 xzl's.
