Feeler on a possible trade: FJ60 for FJC

Ok, so been kicking around the idea of selling but think I would trade for an FJC if it worked out. What do you guys think?

Here is my build:
1984 Fj60, 2f 4 speed, 165K miles, no rust, not dents
Painted factory OEM blue about 7 years ago.
SOR rear slider windows
Wagon gear side and tail gate panels
4" OME kit, 4plus Parts Shackle Reversal
ARB front Bumper
Black powder coated rear bumper
ARB Lockers Front and Rear
regeared 4:88
new OEM starter
new OEM Smog pump (yes it's true factory one, bought it from cruiser dan)
New OEM power steering pump
New OEM master cyclinder
New OEM Clutch master cylinder
New OEM Water pump
New Aftermarker Radiator
New OEM spark plugs, cap, wires etc...
All new hoses (coolant, heat and air, everything under the hood and some)
National Luna Dual battery setup
Aux fuse box with wired to Aux battery
Dual battery trays
Aussie Inclinometer
Aussie O'crap grab bar
MAF Catback
35x12.50 BFG MT x5
17x8 steel wheels x 6
Summit racing reclining seats
Tuffy center console box
Alpine stereo
Polk speakers
Keyless entry and Alarm
Round eyes head lights

I'm sure there's more, and should have all the receipts, the interior is in good shape, it's been garage kept since it's repaint. I'll try to get some pictures of it tomorrow.

So which kind of FJ are you looking for? FJ Cruiser, FJ 40/55? I know of a really nice 78 FJ 40 that is coming to market soon.. He is not interested in trades. John

Thinking an FJ cruiser.

While I'm not in the market for a FJC I do follow prices and would be surprised if anyone would be willing to trade for a 60 series. Now I see a this article linked in a chat section thread. http://www.thestreet.com/story/1197...-their-value-when-you-sell-in-five-years.html Second from what I've seen in CSC those that sell a FJC most the time go to a 80 series. Not knocking the 60 series. If I didn't need a cruiser at the time that had a automatic transmission (better half won't drive a stick) I might have bought a FJ60 not a FJ62. Twenty years later and it's not going anywhere soon. While you might not find a FJC owner looking to trade for a 40 series you have a good chance selling a late model 40 for enough to buy a FJC. You do have time are your side. While the used FJC are coming down in the price the 60 has bottomed out and on it's way up. Good luck with your hunt.
