FS: 1987 FJ60, clean, SOA

Well guys here's the deal. I bought this wicked clean 60 of another mud member last summer. I had the intention to build it up and drive it in the summer and get a beater in the winter. Well that worked out for one winter and now that Subaru winter beater I bought has turned into a full fledged rally car and I wont be driving it in the winter either. I also need a good means of towing the car to races and something to be a reliable DD. So this is my thought. I'm in no real huge rush to get rid of my 60, basically because I love it. But I was looking to see if anyone with an FZJ 80 wanted to trade for it. We can work out the details if you want cash or if I feel you need to add cash on top of the 80.

Here are the details:

Its a 1987 FJ60, 195K on the clock. The engine starts right up and runs great. The body is rust free the frame is clean but has a few small spots of surface rust. The interior is impeccable. It has new carpets, the seats are clean, though the drivers seat does have a couple small tears which were sewn up. The entire interior was insulated with Dynomat or similar material (done by the PO Marc, who is on here...somewhere...) Sadly I doubt I've put over 1500 miles on it other than the drive home from VA.

The SOA was done using the Ruff Stuff Specialties kit, the high steer is from Trail-Gear. It has MAF stainless flex brake lines. Marlin HD inner seals, the knucks were rebuilt when I did the SOA last summer. It also has 4Runner calipers, IPF H4 headlights, SS battery tray, beastly $200 battery cables. I also have a huge folder with $4000 worth of receipts for parts and maintenance over the last few years.

The SOA isnt quite done, it still needs shocks, the trans crossmember needs clearanced (which I'll probably do before its traded) and an anti wrap bar. I'm going to be picking away at this over the next few weeks so by the time someone wants to trade me this all may be completed.

Currently it has some 33in BFG A/Ts with excellent tread mounted on some 15x10 American Racing Outlaw 2 wheels. I might be getting some 35s for it in the near future.

What I'm looking for: a locked FZJ80. Stock or modded.

Bump....also possibly willing to sell this...PM me offers.

Stock gears? Whats your asking price?
Thanks
Kelly

Yeah it still has stock gears. I was planning to do a 5.3 swap in the future so I havent really decided what to do for gears. Thats the issue, its hard for me to put a price on it. I'd really like to get $7-8K for it. But who knows. Thats why I was looking to trade.

If someone gave me $6500 obo I'd sell it.

Just put 10in Bilstein 5125s out back and 14in 5125s up front.

I stole this from Marcs original FS post where I bought it:

2007
Installed all new OEM radiator hoses, vacuum tubing, waterpump, fan clutch, thermostat, belts, fan, radiator cap, tune up items (tuned up again since).
New exhaust (cat back) with Magnaflow muffler
Stainless battery tray
VDP Center Console
George's LED domelights
Catalytic Converter
New Carpet over 100+ sq. ft of Damplifier and Heatwave padding
Pioneer Stereo and speakers (also have steering wheel control unit for it)
Urban Landcruiser Battery Cables
IPF H4 Headlights and Bulbs with an upgraded Wiring Harness

2008
New Tailgate lifts
Rebuilt the knuckles (Cruiser Outfitters kit and Marlin seals)
4runner Calipers
Aussie Mirrors
Rebuilt Carb (OEM kit, rebuilt by me)
Replaced Oil Pan Gasket (OEM)
Replaced the EGR downtube gasket (OEM)
Wagongear weatherstripping

2009
MAF Tranny/Xfer case overflow hose
Replaced the aftermarket smog pump with a gutted OEM pump (used)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm making strides towards owning my own fabrication shop and I bought a Chevy 2500 (6.0L :steer: ) so I can tow my hill climb car, get steel or tow around parts cars/project cars. It pains me to sell my 60 because I'm finally getting it where I want it to be. But I cant justify having 3 registered and insured vehicles and unfortunately right now the 60 is what has to go. I just installed 4 Bilstein 5125s last week 14in in the front and 10in in the rear. I then bent the front springs during a 10mph panic stop on the test drive (4runner calipers locked the 33x12.50s right up  ) So I'll be getting replacement springs for the front and I guess I'll include the 4 MAF long AALs that you can install if you want, that will give the packs the strength they need so this doesnt happen again.

I really hate to sell this but I need the money more than I need another vehicle. This winter I hope to build some sort of buggy or truggy that I'll trailer to wheeling.

Ehh thats all for now...I'm sure I'll add and change stuff as time goes on

Not sure if I'm really happy or sad that nobody is interested.

Thanks but I'm just looking to sell.
