I quoted myself as a test. Let's see if it works. I do note that the quote tag syntax is different, which is likely the problem. I wonder if this is fixable...

Let me clarify - the old quoted text from the old software isn't displaying properly. Looks like the quote tag syntax is the problem.

I "may" be able to do a monster script search/replace to repair it...forum admin corner does have some kewl stuff like that...will see what I can tweak over the weekend!

(WILL be a busy weekend making small changes too....oh, and watch for a new ANNOUNCEMENT in the forums with some info for all the users....)

coming on this weekends list of details...

not sure on more stats, but will see what adjustments are out there....I've got that in my admin CP, will see about doing a forum version of it.....

Profile Picture

The profile photo is a nice feature, but the size constraints are weird. It constrains to 320 wide by 240 tall. It wouldn't let me upload something 240 wide by 320 tall, or anything taller than 240, no matter how wide. Most photos will be in vertical format I think.

Plus it displays weird when you look at the public profile. Mine for example: my profile

Old format used to allow for a different "screen name" or "display name" Am wondering if this is possible now. Ex. my login is dougjohn, but the name displayed was NorCalDug. I couldn't find a similar option today.

If it's done foreva -- no big. Just wondering if it'll be added.

this happened sometimes in the old format too and didnt know if its just my computer... sometimes when going through the pages the icons that show if a topic is new or not will show up as a red x. it only happens sometimes but it does happen. it might just be my computer. anyway heres what it looks like sometimes

the SEARCH INDEXING process is soaking the server processor right now...been running constant since 8am today, and only 139k of the threads are done...

however, I occasionally got that too....not sure why, perhaps you are just too quick with the keyboard... ?? lol

correct...those will all have to be repaired by the Mods of each forum...and since most aren't even upgraded to mod yet, it might take some doing...hehehe

I got thought the re-password thing pretty fast, found answers to most of my questions pretty fast, and thought I'd found a new glitch and AHHH someone else beat me to the FAQ question.

Now all I can hope for is that everyone gets their new password quickly and answers my First Ever question I ever posted here (in the 40 tech section)
