Recap

Just a recap, This will be on Saturday, Feb-9. Meeting at Ryans house in High Point around 9am. Ryan I will pm you my number if you could give me a call and we could plan a few things. If any of these times or dates are not correct feel free to chime in. Thanks Again to everyone.

Let's carpool from the triangle! Gas isn't cheap...and the Silverado is a thirsty lil' booger. :)

Directions have been emailed from the Club mailing database, let me know if you haven't recieved anything by later this afternoon, Thanks.

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it out. We had a really nice turnout and we had alot of nice 80's present to see the rebuild. Hope everyone was able to see what went on and this was helpful in the future for those that may need a rebuild.

Thanks again Ryan for your gracious hospitality.

SO THE QUESTION IS WHO WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE THEIR WORK FOR MARCH, IF NOT MARCH LETS GET SOMETHING FOR AFTER THE OBX TRIP.

Glad everyone enojoyed it, club update to follow...

Very sorry I missed it.............

I ended up working until after 4am, and getting up at 0630 just was not going to happen. Glad to hear there was a good turnout, can't wait to hear the full report.

I had a great time!!!! Hope we can get our rigs together again for a few beers befor the OBX trip! I would love to have another HAMOM again soon. Let's get thoese rigs worked on. We can do it anytime at my place.
Just post up.....

A HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks

I want to send out a huge thanks to everybody that attended and helped today, I couldnt have done it without everyones help. Everyones graciousness and willing to help is a true testament to the kind of club and to the kind of members that make up ONSC. I cant thank Ryan enough for letting this take place at his house, his hospitality is unsurpassed. The 80 is loving the fresh rebuild, I stopped by work on the way home to throw some stuff in the dumpster and while I was there I drove all over the parking lot at full lock and there was no clicking noise at all. Again Thanks to all, cant wait to do some work on someone elses truck.

Had a great time. I didn't lend too much of a hand as it seemed that there were enough knowledgeable wrenches going on at one time. No need to throw a monkey wrench in.

I say next time we do a 40 front end rebuild.

A dollar short and a day late. Sounds like you all had a good time.

I have not met any of you, but you all sound like a cool squad. I have done these with old diesel Mercedes and I wouldn't mind hosting the next meeting here at my place in Sanford. Hopefully not to far south as most of you seem to be in the Raleigh Area.

I've got a beer fridge, a BBQ and large patio, and enough room to put a couple cruisers in the garage, and plenty of parking out front in the driveway.

I don't need anything specifically worked on (JUST EVERYTHING.....see build-up), But I hope to have everything I need done by that point. I would love to lend a helping hand with someone elses rig though. I'm new to the 4X4 scene so I take any learning opportunity that arises.

Just looking forward to meeting you all.

Jason

Yes, kudos to Ryan for hosting that....that WAS the cleanest garage I had ever seen...hope it cleaned up okay. Nice turn out from everyone. I'm glad to see so many people willing to sacrifice a beautiful Saturday to help another.

Steve, it's not a bad idea to jack the front end up after a few thousand miles and check those bolts again. It's a habit I have developed over the years, and I think it has saved my butt more than once.

Yep, good idea. Especially the steering arm bolts located at the bottom of the knuckle. They have been known to work loose before.
