Ok, so what's your favorite smartphone mount location? Seems like there are so many, what works well in the 100? I don't think I want a windshield mount.

Cupholder

Vent clip

AC adapter mount

Sedio innotraveler stuck low on the windshield just left of center. Works great, doesn't impair visibility (I'm 6'4"), perfect for right-handed operation. Holds up off-road, phone where you can see it for Torque app, navi, calls, tunes, etc. Clean path down to power source without stringing cords all over the steering column, etc. Torque even has a built-in Lev-o-gauge. What do you want to do with your phone while it's mounted? That determines in large part where you put it.

Someplace visible for things like the Garmin app.

It is a couple different parts. I started with one of these and really liked it (other than having cables run to the window and something mounted on the window):

Universal GPS holder

I really liked the universal feature of the holder. So I moved that over to a Panavise mount for our rigs:

Panavise

They have two different model #'s for 100/470 series. But they look the same. The one above and this one:

03-07 year

They also have a universal holder.... But I like the old one I have so I just used it. They make some other more specific mounts as well.

I have a cheap LC without suspension control, so my bionic fits nicely in the change cup.

But really - Leave it on your belt clip or in your pocket. It is a distraction to have that thing in view. I have a Parrot system in two trucks and Pioneer's bluetooth radio module add on in another that speak the GPS directions to you through the stereo. Much safer than looking at a map while driving. So I program it and put it away.

Remember 20 years ago when we used paper maps? You had a passenger navigator tell you where to turn, or if you were alone, you planned your trip before you left or pulled over to read the map. Driving distractions are the new DUI.

You'd really hate that I have an iPad, 7" touchscreen nav head unit, Ham Radio, Mifi, and two iPhones mounted to the dash. :)

I use the Kensington holder (minus gooseneck or vent clip) stuck (3m double sided tape) to the shift console area between the seat heat buttons and transfer shift.
