I like that video too. I've always known the angles were supposed to be equally opposed, but never have I seen it demonstrated so clearly as to why.

I don't think you're using that as an argument against my point Ted, but if you are, it has no bearing on what I'm trying to point out about driveshaft tube angles. That demo is all about U-joint angles in relation to the shaft, not shaft angles in relation to the vehicle.
 
no dog in this discussion, wasn't there so don't know the context of it but on face value the frame and body bolt to the drive train (from a certain perspective) so as long and pinions and tc angles are proper then nuthin' else should matter.
 
Technically it demonstrates your point, as long as the joint angles are the same, the plane in which the shaft is operating is irrelevant. To make your point he would just have to turn his demonstration rig on it's side

Not saying you didn't understand it Ted, just that Matt put it so well and used all the right terms. :)
