I think I am gonna pony up and do this soon because all the stories lately about the head gasket failing...

So yeah, I already know my headgasket is toast but I have been tempting fate with the BAR's trick. So far working fine but it does ever so often lose coolant. Not a lot mind you but enough to cause over heating. So my light goes on maybe once a month reminding me to fill up the radiator/coolant reservoir. So far everything is A-OK until I can manage time to do the head gasket and S/C install at the same time.

what about using the washer fluid level sensor from a Camry?? Could I use it to monitor the level in my coolant overflow tank??

No reason why not. If its two wire then it could't be easier. Just need to find a way to attach it to the tank.

It think it has a rubber grommet that seals it in the tank. I am hoping I can just drill the hole in the side of the reservoir and place the sensor there. I will report back it it works!
