Hi all, hj60 shot me an email saying in effect, ``hello! you're the looser that was one of those that kept talking of an AZ club!''

Yes, I was! And I'm glad this section is setup for us. I need to SO catch up on everything and everyone; I've been saying that for a while. With our baby son, we've decided to have the wife stay at home and I take two full-time jobs. Time between baby watching/playing, working, and trying an hour or two of sleep unfortunately leaves very little time for my Cruiser habit of late.

I moved to PHX area last summer from Denver where I was a Rising Sun member and travelled with the family at that time (wife and dalmation dog) to Moab almost every other long weekend. My job was more cush back then and my time much more flexible.

I have a OME/ARB/315'd FZJ80 with cloth seats :D (that helps immensely in AZ) and my project vehicle is my 3FJ40 which I still beg help of people (I pay in beer and food). I have an uninstalled 4" lift that needs putting on, and some final electrical work and an exhaust on the 3FJ40.

Wheeled a little last weekend in Sedona (saw someone else's ciao'd 80 and tried chasing after it, to no avail), nothing tough with my 4 month old son of course. I really want to hit some more trails, get the 40 up and running and meet some other AZ cruisers.

 to everyone and SERIOUSLY, I'll try to get on the forums more often at work!

welcome to the board!!!
p.s., do like i recently did and quit one of your jobs, its not so bad getting used to one les pizza-and-a-movie :flipoff2:

It's that whole retiring early thing though, and building up that IRA/401k, hitting that barrier-to-entry cost point on the house real estate to have it as a nest egg some day type thing. And my son! I can't default and foreclose! :'(

There you are. Bout freakin time. :)
I feel ya on the whole lack of time thing. Between spending time with
Yashica, work, school and trying to fix my Cruiser, I hardly have time to sleep.
6 more weeks. Then I have to find a real job. But it should hopefully free up a
few hours a week.

Hey 3fj40, do you live in Sedona? That could be a money problem right there. I'm over in Cottonwood, WAAZZZAAA?!! We ought to go hit some trails sometime!

I WISH I lived there! I'm in Scottsdale, which again is a $$ problem nonetheless.

Certainly we should! 8) Where in Cottonwood are you? I was driving through looking for various trails West of town, but didn't see any obvious solutions, but I'm sure there are.

Well you musta came up for the w/e or something huh? West of town is Mingus Mt., which I haven't explored as much as I should have, but there is stuff there. Tons of trails, just tough finding ones you need to lock the hubs for.

Hey I got cut off!! Anyways, I have heard some rumors of a few trails in the area which are supposed to be pretty rough. One up on Cedar Flats, and one out Fossil Creek road that takes off up the rim to meet with 260, Hackberry Mt. and Dorens Defeat.
