Our LC has been ovet heating and I think I've narrow it down to be the fan clutch. When the motor is hot, I can freely spin the fan when I turn the motor off.

I've read some threads on replacing the silicone fluid in the fan clutch, but they've mostly been for 80s. Has anyone done this on a 100?

Hi, I actually spoke to your brother today LilAZHundy. So i just did my fan clutch on my hundy. Just because it moves by hand doesn't mean it is good or bad. The clutch I took off spun by hand in the truck. When I had it out and tried to move it by hand it was frozen. The bearing had failed internally.

I am confused. If the fan blades spin easily by hand after the vehicle has been warmed up to norm operating temps, does or does not this mean the fan clutch is weak and or failing? Mine spins easily and all temps increase quickly at low speeds
