Hello All-
I am in the process of getting a set of fan belts for my '86 FJ60. It's an American market rig with A/C and has been de-smogged using a JimC idler pulley. My rig was built in 'Mar. 1986' per the data plate in the drivers side B pillar. One one hand, I would think the below Toyota part #s are the correct ones for my truck:

Belt, V, Comp Drive - Toyota Part #99332-11250-78
Belt, V, P/S Vane Pump - Toyota Part #99343-11570-77
Belt, V, Air Pump (Idler Pulley) - Toyota Part #99343-11120-77

However, when I look on SOR's site they have two different belt sets that bridge the 1986 production year. One set is for 8/80-4/86 and the other set is 4/86-8/87. Granted, SOR doesn't show OEM Toyota part #s, but given my truck's proximity to the 4/86 date, which OEM #s are the correct ones for my 60, the ones above or the ones for 4/86 and forward? And if the 4/86 and forward belts, does anyone have those correct Toyota part #s?

Thanks in advance,

It might go without saying but if you put your VIN into the parts search engine it might pick which belt is correct.

I have a digital copy of the parts microfiche. It indicates this revision for the AC belt occurs at frame number FJ60-1133051. the last seven digits of the frame number should be the same as the last seven digits of your VIN number. If your VIN number ends in 1133050 or lower, then you have the earlier AC belt (up to 4/86). If your VIN ends in 1133051 or higher, then you have the later AC belt (after 4/86).

I don't know why there is a difference in the belt length at the 4/86 revision. I don't see a difference in crank or compressor pulleys, mounting fixtures, etc. There is only a 1 cm difference in belt length.

Good luck.

Well, I'll be damned. 2mbb that is Insightful^2. I sincerely appreciate it! My last seven are 1133186. Just over the line. I had gone ahead and ordered the -11250 belt. Not a huge issue to get the -11260 one. However as I said, my data plate clearly states 'Mar. 1986'.

Also get this belt as an emergency spare in case the power steering goes kaplunk out on the road. It bypasses the power steering.
