Hi,

Been lurking for a while and finally getting ready to pull the trigger on a 200. I came across a 2011 at a local Toyota dealer, CPO'd, 33k mi - they want $52k - way too high. I've done a lot of cross shopping and feel like the sweet spot for this would be around the $47k mark with $48-49k high and $45k low (I am factoring the cost associated if I had to actually travel and pick up a slightly cheaper truck in another part of the country).

Thoughts if I could get to the $47-$48k mark?

Also, would anybody be able to confirm 100% that all US 200s have a trailer hitch behind the panel in the rear bumper? Some of my reading implies that but haven't been able to confirm 100%. I wasn't able to easily get the cover off when I looked at the truck and figured it'd be poor form to break it.

Thanks for the input!

Chris

33K is Really low miles for an 11, $52K I don't think is too far off the mark for those miles and CPO status. That CPO cost the dealer a pretty penny somewhere in the $1500-2000.00 dollar range. I think 47k is probably close to wholesale or trade in value. I was offered $46K wholesale buy bid about 4 months ago for my 49,000 mile 2011. I paid $55K for 18,000 mile CPO 2011 about 6-8 months ago. I would be surprised if you can get them down under $50K, they might but they may try and cancel the CPO to get there.

Yes all US. Spec Cruisers have the hitch. What really seems to be the grey area is the wire harness to plug your trailer lights in. Those factory wire harnesses seem to be very hit and miss. Of all the 200s I have owned and add in my Dad and Brothers, seems out 8 200s 2 were missing there plugs and in one case the dealer said it didn't come with the plugs, in another case they said it was just missed getting installed at the port. Called Toyota and they said nothing in the build of materials stated the plug was included. After a brief fight with them over it, I was able to get a 200.00 special allowance toward getting one. A bit of a hassle, I had to buy it and then send in receipts then they send me the 200.00 refund.

Great insight CC, I appreciate it! All very valid points for me to consider when I am making my final decision - quite frankly it makes me feel a little better about it.

I was searching for a 2011 Super White sub 20K miler in mint condition for over a year to find one.

Just a little extra FYI, I am only seeing 4 sub 40K milers listed on a nation wide cars.com search.
Only 3 actually look like they are in good shape by the pictures. All are priced right around 52K only 2 show to be CPO'd.
Is the one your looking at black?

Used 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser - in 67217 Area - on Cars.com

Yes, that is the one at Michael's Toyota.

Where are you located?

There's one in New York with only 24k miles asking $49.9k. Thing looks mint.

Michaels Toyota in Bellevue Washington? Hah, that's my neck of the woods...

I've seen plenty of pics of your beautiful rig and noted the WA plates...

I am in Seattle, so the one mentioned earlier is only a few minutes from me. I am an east coast (New England) native and heading back there in a week but I am guessing by the time I got a rig back from the east coast I wouldn't realize much of a savings.

I am taking the one in WA for a second and extended test drive tomorrow, guess we'll see how it all goes!

Interesting that Toyota is charging exorbitant 3% interest rate on cpo land cruisers when you get almost half that outside on used cars

One them showed 1.9% for all models except for land cruiser which was 2.99

I have no clue. I have never financed through Toyota

Saw the title to this thread and immediately thought of a very different kind of 2011...

Do they shoot the same as a 1911? :)

Yup, just more boolits. And reloads are faster due to the double-stack mag.

Well according to politicians of late, you never need more than 10 bullets... ;)

Also, apparently pigs have begun to fly with regularity. :rimshot:
