I recently picked up a 92 FJ80. However the paint leaves a little to be desired. The front driver's side door has been replaced (doesn't seem to close all the way completely so there's wind noise at highway speeds) and the clear coat seems to be failing on the rear driver's side door. It seems the clear coat has failed everywhere else so I just want to strip it so it's uniform across the whole truck. Are there any suggestions for this?

Thanks!

Hi, Personally I would sand and repaint that whole side to make it look good. Mike

clear coat on my lx470 failed in patches only on the DS rear quarter panel. watched a couple youtube videos and fixed it myself. Light color sanding and spray can clear and it looks amazing. Go easy on the sanding and you're good.
