Howdy,
I'm trying to figure out which part of my factory winch is the problem. Is there any means of testing it off-vehicle? Ground and power seem intuitive, but I'm not sure how to bypass the #1 magnet switch (under the battery). Is it possible?
Overall, I my winch isnt working. The #1 magnet/solenoid works as evident by the big "click" when I plug in the handheld controller. The green power light comes on. Both good. When I wind in/out, all I hear is "click, click, click". I've taken the winch off the truck, and performed the continuity tests as outlined in the fsm. Both solenoids #2 (on the winch) seem ok. Not sure where to turn next?
Once I figure out what to test, I'd like to do it while the winch is if off the truck - its just easier!
