Factory Snorkel -> In Hand Now Finally

Hey Guys,
I've decided I'm going to put in an order for a couple of Factory OEM snorkel kits for the 80. One of the parts that make up the kit is getting really hard to find but my source has been able to find enough to make a couple of full kits which I'm going to purchase today.

I thought I was done ordering but everytime I order I end up selling the kit I'm intending to keep for myself to someone on the board!

I've done this a number of times now for boardies and to my knowledge, everyone has been very happy with their kit and the whole process. I take a lot of care to make sure all of the parts are in the kit before it is sent to you and I take a lot of time to MAKE strong boxes for each of the snorkels out of heavy moving boxes.

As always, I have to do first come first served for the kits I have available. If you are interested, please email me and I'll arrange to take a $100 deposit on a kit to put you name on it.

The kit is complete including ducts, brackets, bolts/washers, rivets etc, etc and the template which was supplied to me by MOT, an excellent boardie!
All parts are for the 80 series vehicles...If you email me early enough you'll be able to choose the 70(cone) or 80(bulb) series topper($15 more).

The US models will need a small mod in terms of relocating the antenna for install.

Anyhow, after everything is said and done, I'll be looking for $435USD +$15 if you want an 80 topper(heavier and more expensive), Canadians can do a Internet bank transfer which greatly reduces the fees, for the set up plus shipping to you which is very economical through Fedex ground ($30-$35 +/- for 4-5 business days to most of North America)
Please email any questions to whosthecoolguy@hotmail.com
I find it tough to maintain the PM inbox sometimes.
Please email me with any questions!
Jeff

Questions. Does this setup cover the antenna completely? Would you snap a picture of someones rig from the hood side of the snorkle?

It doesn't cover the antenna, there is no room for it at all.

I used a larger sized fender washer to 'fill the hole left by the antenna. Body filler over the top of the washer and 'spray painted to match' (easy to do that with white). You can't even tell it was there unless you look under the fender.

I still get weird looks with mine.

Some pics of what it looks like installed, unfortunately I don't actually have any close-ups:

All I did with my antenna was remove it, I haven't covered the hole or welded it or anything, yeah water may get into it but it drains out at the bottom of the fender.

I have no need right now for the antenna. I was inquiring because I'd probably opt to remove it altogether. I am working on my winch, inverter, and electrical for now but will eventually some day pull the trigger on the oem snorkel. It's just money right?

OK so you need a $100 deposit, whats the final price all together.

$430CAN (+/- $5 once they arrive and I know for sure what customs etc. is going to be) by PAYPAL GIFT

from the original post

So how much is $430 CAN in US $? I know I can look up conversions in all kinds of places. I want to hear it from the source.

Whatever Paypal's conversion rate is on the day you make payment. This isn't the first time the OP has sold these...he's not trying to scam you.

For those interested, here are a couple pics with 80-series topper.

I apologize. That came across the wrong way. I was not even remotely trying to imply a scam. I just get tired of asking a question on here only for someone to respond with "search for it".

Hey guys,

Sorry, I'm not on the boards as much as I'd like to be, but feel free to email me at whosthecoolguy@hotamil.com with any questions.

Yes, I've probably sold 40+ of these kits to board members now and no issues at all. All parts are Toyota OEM and kits are complete.

Doug is correct, it just depends on exchange for the day. I think the Canadian dollar actally dropped a little over the last couple of days but with paypal exchange rate evening things out, I think it would be close to par, maybe a bit more.

You can go on paypal, go through the process and just before you hit 'send money', you can see exactly what it will cost you.

Please shoot me an email if you have any other questions. I'm happy to answer.

This is what I did for an antenna, and it works great.
And a pic of where the antenna hole is covered-you can't see it at all.

And yes, it was a pleasure to deal with Jeff, he's a great guy.

cheers all,
Jan
