A friend of mine has just had a spare tire mount fitted on the back of his USA-spec Land Cruiser.

Naturally - this is now setting off a false alarm with the reverse parking sensors.

Does anyone know how to disable the inner two sensors without having error messages coming up on the Nav screen / Dash cluster?

Thanks

I just turned mine off completely. One day I'll relocate them to the sides, anywhere near the back will cause an alarm.

What happens if you simply cut the wire(s)?

It will probably involve using a resistor when you cut the sensors off to trick the system into thinking they are still there.

Same here...turned them off.

I would not recommend it. The LC is way to computerized to just let you cut them. Mostly likely will continue to give you a rear sensor error all the time after that.

Wish someone smart would think about how to do this :p
