Did the factory use glossy black or semi glossy black on the block and head for a 1982 2F in an FJ40. Would these be the same colors as used on brackets and steering box. And what about the frame? Thanks.

Not sure about the block castings. They don't look very shiny, even with fresh paint, because of the rough cast surface. All the tin was painted (powdered?) separately with a satin black.
I paint the castings w/ gloss and the tin w/ satin to try to replicate the OE look. Not saying it's right, but it's close.
