Does anyone with a B or H engine with a factory stop cable happen to have a photo of the business end of the cable (at the injector pump)? Keen to see what the factory setup looked like.

I have a B engine in my 78 BJ40, but my EDIC gave up the ghost. so I used an old throttle cable mounted on an L-shaped bracket installed below the dash. The cable is threaded through the firewall and looped through another bracket I installed near the altitide compensator of the fuel pump. The cable is the threaded though the bracket and wound around the ball of the fuel shutoff (where the end of the EDIC arm went). When I want to shut off the engine, I simply pull the knob under the dash.

Would you be able to send me a picture of your workaround cable set up for the edic that failed? I just purchased a BJ40 with the 3 litre and a try to set up a kill cable. I have attempted to install a cable but it’s not working. I think i need a heavier cable set up.

I have a few images here, maybe of use.. 2H... but BJ40 is same-same tech.

Many thanks. This has given me a few ideas about how to tackle my set up. I believe I need to order a PTO stop cable as the one I attempted to hook up had too much flew in the run of the cable. A beefier cable will allow me to have the correct cable tension to throw the throttle stop to the off position.
