Face lifted land cruiser to arrive in January ?

I have herd from various sources that the face lifted 200 and the lx570 will arrive around january 2012 possibly as 2013 models .


This would make sense , since Toyota Australia just released a limited edition 200 series , named ''Altitude'' which adds a few options over the standard GXL . Production of this '11 limited edition is expected to run until november 2011.

Which would make sense for the face lifted version to start rolling of the lines late november , December .

January delivery of MY13 vehicles does not sound right. They usually arrive on October for the next MY.

Regardless for MY changes plants usually need 6-8 months retooling time as well as testing.

This is what CDan, myself and Mot were told on our epic Japan trip.

Well folks, this evening, I have offically seen the media/press pictures of the new 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser from an official press site. I also have some info on the 2013 Lexus Lx570 and the 2012 Sequoia.

All revisions of the Land Cruiser are in response to the recent release of the worldwide all-new Nissan Patrol. The absence of a 2012 MY is partly contributed to the earthquake in Japan.

The 2013 Land Cruiser will be released in January 2012. The remaining 2011 Land Cruisers will get a price hike.

The Lexus LX570 will have a slightly revised look. The Sequoia will have very minor payload/towing revisions.

The ludicrous little freak doesn't even know what day of the week it is let alone anything about vehicles. Pay no attention to his nonsensical ramblings. He's on most people's "ignore lists" so can only be seen when he's quoted, which helps cut down on a lot of his trolling.

There is no public link. Media only are allowed which I am part of, all new Toyota product that is available is in there. There is a press embargo on listing the info or pics on most Toyota's. Same thing with Lexus.

For Sequoia, look for a minor towing capacity change. That was not off limits.

I like the older look better, its currently the only Toyota/Lexus USA product that does not use circular foglamps. No interior pics.

Its up to you if you want to wait, comments about exterior features are not allowed.

Pagemaster - surely they aren't going to round foglights on the 200?? - I can't ever remember that on a LC. What's next the pug nose grill/headlights (see Tundra, 4runner and Sequoia) that Toyota so dearly loves. Just throw in the standard single piece rear hatch while they're at it. Sheesh. The LC needs to retain some form of uniqueness instead of conforming to the Toyota family look. I have a sneaking fear they are about to finally uglify the LC for good with this refresh.

Won't confirm or deny the Land Cruiser fogs. Every Toyota I know in the USA has gone to circle foglamps. 1st Gen Tundra has rectangle, Avalon, Lexus LS, LX, even GX. They have all gone circle.

Toyota Sequoia will have a minor colour code change, something to do with red will be slightly different. New trailer sway stuff and a blind spot alert.

Toyota has pretty much gone circle on there new upgrades. I think they just migh go circle on the 200
