Hello Folks, I wanted to know if anybody on the list has installed a trubo on a 2 or 3F. Also, is Fuel injection a prerequisite for turbo?

You can turbo anything, if you have the time, tools, and ability to make it work.

In a lot of ways EFI makes it easier to turbo, but carburated turbo engines have been around since automotive sized turbos came to life in the 1950's.

With a carb you either do a "Blow-thru" or a "Draw-thru" system. Blow-thru's enclose the carb in a box that the turbo pressurizes. For this to work the fuel pressure will need to also rise with the boost. A Draw-thru system places the carb right at the inlet to the turbo.

There is at least on turbo 2f and one 3f. Also some threads on FI. Do a search and you'll get a good start. Also search the 40 forum for FI.

I have one on my 2F. Works great.

Mine is the easier Draw through system..
