F series push rod different sizes?

Hey all, if anyone has any knowledge on different pushrods for the F series motors? Found an anomaly on sam's motor when we pulled the head off. Any info would be appreciated.

I believe they should all be the same length and diameter. Not that this is gospel but read the description in the link below. Do the lifter cups match the different pushrods?

Is this a case of change the number-change the price... upward?

Probably, but there also seems to be a dimensional change also. Early years had a thicker diameter pushrod with a bigger ball end. Later years were a smaller diameter with a smaller ball end.

Really wierd that Sam's motor appears to have a mix match of parts. I spoke with Tyler last night, he's going to try and get a look at the lifters and see if they are mix match as well. My guess is Man-A-Fre just grabbed whatever was laying around and threw it in that motor then likely charged someone out the ass for it

Yeah I agree, when I was loosening the head bolts they were inconsistent with how hard/easy they were.

Makes you wonder how accurate the rods and mains are
