Hi. Can anybody measure the carb stud locations on a F or 2F for me, or know where I can find a drawing/diagram? I've been asked to machine a TBI adapter plate and I don't have a landcruiser handy to measure.

I could just mail you a gasket, then you'd have it all.

Here's how it came out:

Welcome.

Not trying to bust your balls here, but before you start selling these things out here, I would install one onto a stock intake/exhaust manifold combination, as there are probably folks out here who do not want to run headers. Your adapter is not going to clear the fastener closest to the carburetor/cylinder head side that vertically passes through the intake and secures the intake and exhaust manifolds together. F/2F does not matter.

Along with the bolt issue, there are some intake manifolds that I have worked with over the years where the carburetor mounting surface is actually recesses a bit into the intake, which again, is going to create an interference issue with your adapter.

Find a picture of a Weber carburetor adapter and look at the amount of material it has surrounding the mounting holes for the adapter to the manifold, and then look at what you have. People will need to grind/cut their new adapter in order to make it fit.

A couple of pictures from two different threads/engines out here:

Thanks very much. I don't have a landcruiser to check this out on, so I appreciate you telling me about possible problems. I built it based on carb dimensions I was emailed. The man who asked me to build it mentioned he was going to use a spacer that I assumed was a stock piece that everybody would have. Does this spacer not lift the plate high enough? Does this spacer not come stock? Can you let me know how much relief it would take to make the plate clear the fastener? I can machine a relief into the plates while I'm machining them. Again, I appreciate your help.
Here's a pic I was sent, it's hard to tell the height of the spacer vs the bolt head. You're probably more familiar with these engines (obviously) than I am.

I see your pics now, and I see the stud/nut sticking up out of the intake. It would be very simple for me to machine a relief into the bottom side of the plate for that, can you please measure how tall it is? Thanks. Again, I really appreciate you helping me with this.
