my 3b turbo,d with ihi rhb6 sounds like a horny grizzly bear on steroids ! it roars realy to LOUD !

what are good way,s to silence it but that dont change the exaust pressure for the engine in a bad way ?

A large straight through muffler will work, i used to have on on my 3b turbo. What size exhaust pipe do you have? mine about the standard size and following the factory routing and its not too loud

Also with the large straight through muffler keep the exhaust tip pointed down and out the back will help with noise. 10% canola oil will help with some of the mechanical noise of the engine, but I wouldn't recommend that in colder temps, use 200 to 1 2 stroke oil for winter...

Sound deaden the floor and hood... Make sure no rust holes in tub... The rest of the noise is just the nature of the beast!

yes im also going to put 2 layers of sound isolation on the floor and also to the bonnet (the bottumside hey;):p)

But i want it also quite for the bird spotters and other green extremists so i can go quitely over that half dried out river beddings and so !!;)without somebody calling the money hunting authoritys :whoops:

Yes that canola and 2 stroke oil i red before im sure gonna give it a try (then il post the results) aldo i dont think it will make a big notocable diffrence in sound ?

alright i shall post a picture of the current muffler also because i wil try to keep that one and put that simons muffler that i posted before also.

or would that influence the back pressure for the engine to much 2 big mufflers ?

The canola won't cut db down much at all under load at least out of the ehaust. However the mechanical diesel noise is dramatically reduced!

It's definitely more noticeable with canola, it adds quite a lot of lubricity to the fuel, quieting injection and combustion.

I use 2 stroke in the winter which I feel is more to keep the pump and motor happy with the USLD... Depending on the 2 stroke oil you run and how you feel about 2 stroke smell it could make exhaust fumes better or worse. However engine noise isn't as dramatically reduced because you're running such a lean blend of diesel to 2 stroke oil... 200 to 1 is what I do

The other thing I love about canola is the times you do get a wiff of exhaust it smells like frying food and not like death!

Costco and Cash and Carry seem to have the best deals in my area on canola/veggie oil, I can usually get it for just over 1.30 a liter and it comes with container... Bought in 16L jugs... I couple times it been slightly less then diesel... But it seems to hover just above fuel prices....

I've run probably 20 jugs through my truck now and can't say enough good things about it!

Ok im gonna trie it !

No risk or bad effects to it ?

And what about this question?;

as long as they're both straight through there shouldn't be any more back pressure

I run 4+ premium fuel additive
30ml per 71L

I also do 200:1 2 cycle oil tc-w3 rated. Works out to be 350ml. I just add 300ml per 71L roughly

Been doing it all summer with no issues. I might need to run an injector cleaner or something to try out, I have lost roughly 1l per 100km from my usual fuel economy.
