exhaust leak + spent O2 sensors...

looks like i am making a trip to Lou's... i have an exhaust leak and one of the 2 O2 sensors is bad. i will just replace them both with OEM. time to call in sick and take the truck to Lous custom exhaust. I am going to reuse the same cat and center muffler. i am also going to add a small silencer in the rear.

You might check www.sparkplugs.com for genuine Denso O2 sensors for less than the cost of the red box Toyota sells you...

I took my truck to Lou's this week. I had to have the the Y pipe welded where I cut it off thinking the turbo was going on. The manager told me no charge but asked me to through his boy a few bucks. Now that's old school shop educate right there. Gave the kid a 20.00. I'll definitely be back when the time is right.

It's going on, it's just not going to happen this year. I'm a finicky person when it comes to designing stuff and the manifold is taking some time. It might look simple but to get something that will work well for a long time is taking some doing.

I went to the Lou's in Lawrence. Look up their web site and they are located all over MA.

they are located all over MA. I was recommended them by Daveboy here on this site and his experience at a different location was similar to mine. The guys I met were all over the truck with SMART questions. They might not know 80s specifically but they knew what they were looking at.

I went to the one in Waltham, and Rick's right, these guys are old school smart!!!
They ask good questions, do the job right, pretty cheap, and stand by their work.

I keep meaning to post up a thread with my experience there.
Had a CEL for the Bank 1 cat. Took it to them and they eliminated my 2 cats
and put it one high efficiency cat and tucked it up there nicely. 300 bucks!!
