Is there any way to check for possible exhaust leak (from the manifold area) or a leak on the intake without firing up the engine? Is there a pressure test or something.

I just don't want to bolt everything on and fire it up and find out I didn't get it to seal right and have to redo it.

I doubt theres a way you can test for a leak with out the engine on. I could be wrong but i don't think that the exhaust system is going to be "vacuum" tight, i'd just do a vacuum check with it on and with "seafoam"

i'd run the engine and poor some seafoam down the intake, ( it cleans out carbs but causes alot of smoke and usually was the best way for me to detect an exhaust leak.)

COnsidering that the exhaust and the intake use the same gasket I certianly hope you can get the exhaust Vacuum safe ;)

As long as the two manifolds are the same thicknesses and are not warped. You will be fine.
