hello,
I replaced my alternator and battery because my charging system was not working. After messing with this for a while and tracing all the lines and making sure they are all good. The only thing I can not figure out is what relay or fuse turns on the exciter wire to change the voltage in for the alternator.
When I rev the engine the alternator puts out more juice. Idle at .8 volts and goes up with Rpms. So I think the ecu is not tell the alternator what voltage to put out.
Thanks!

What do you mean by the exciter wire? Is this the sense wire?
Is your alternator refurbished or OEM?
0.8 V at idle means something wrong with the alternator voltage regulator. How much voltage does it give out say at 1200 RPM?

Voltage goes to 1.5
Reason I think I blew a relay or something. This is my second alternator in the this month. First one blew the my 140amp fuse and there was some major wrong with it.

Pulled the alternator and had it tested by an Alternator rebuilding company. They said there is nothing wrong with it.
That leaves the 3 pin connector. I tested all those wires over to the fuse panel and they are all fine.
