From Evo's site they also make a 30mm in the 18x8.5. I've been thinking of this for a narrower than stock snow tire. Dropping towards 10-10.5 width and running a little less positive offset than stock to push the tire out a bit. This would be an inch further out than stock.

Thats where I was looking. I was think of going with the 17x8 +40. I like the fitment of OPs. Did you go with the same setup as OP?
I went with their 18” wheels with the 45mm offset. They gave me a solid price on a set of 5. Great set up but in hindsight now that I am full bore into wheeling I would be better off with the 17” wheel and tire combo.

Wow, I had no idea they make a +30mm offset- I was actually looking at requesting that they custom make a set for me in that exact offset- this makes it a lot more desirable- since when you order a custom offset you have to order 5 wheels. Would be nice to be able to get a single off the shelf if needed.

I assume Mainline can get these- they're not listed on their site- and they show out of stock on the Evocourse site...

Head's up on MLO.

I got my Evo's in 17 and love them. The new batch has a center cap fitment which is good since I tried 3 similar styles and could not find a cap that fit the centerbore...,except that the new centerbore has 5 cutouts to fit a new center cap and so it looks nothing like the old rims. Does anyone have a 17 they want to trade new for the old style?

Can you share pics of this new style?

haha you can’t say doesn’t looking anything like the old ones and not post pics. Please post!

Fair enough, but both are dismounted so it isn't as dramatic as the bare fitment. But I'll follow up.

Old, smooth, new with notches and stepped bore. Wouldn't matter if all the others matched, but it looks dumb enough with factory painted metal bores already.

Oh, so new styles cover up the exposed hub? I always wondered if something could be rigged up for the old style.

The cover is TBD. Who know what it looks like or when it will be available. I wouldn't mind a good cover, just not bothering to tell me it changed after a 3 email convo.

Just had my Evo Corse Dakarzero wheels mounted today. Falken Wildpeak AT 285/70/17. Tomorrow is lift day. Thanks to Mainline Overland for getting me the last set of Matte Bronze wheels in the US.
Looks sweet! Any rub at stock height?

@PhiloCruiser looks great. Mainland send me your pics as a sample. They have some 18s" in a +30mm graphite. Any thoughts of that offset vs your 40mm?

@TLC2013 if you don't want your 18" EVO, sell them to me, and get you some 17s :grinpimp:
