I have some U-TEK epoxy primer that is approx 6 months old and when I mixed it up it seemed pretty thick and didn't spray too well. Can it be thinned with a small amount of lacquor thinner?

Iowa + January = cold... What temperature are you spraying at?

The MSDS doesn't have any thinning suggestions, but does say to warm it to 70℉ before spraying.

Fortunately I have a heated shop. I also could'nt find anything in the MSDS. Sure am tempted to try just a dab of lacquer thinner.

I regularly spray U-TECH E-350 on aircraft. We use a gun with a 1.4 tip. It reduces 2:1 with its own epoxy hardner. Don't think I would use thinner to reduce it. Just got off the phone with my rep. and he said you can use the flow enhancer that is designed for this product (best choice) or any of the Sikkens High Performance Reducers or Utech R-200 reducer. Reduce at a rate of 2 parts epoxy to 1 part hardner and then reduce this total mix by 10%. Hope this helps and good luck
