Finally able to purchase a 2014 LX570 w/ 160K miles from a local Lexus dealer after months of looking.
Drives great w/ good maintenance history.

One thing that bothers me is the top right side of the engine has heavy oil residue build-up (see red circled pic).
Only the right side of the engine and the left side is clean as you can get.
I examined the undercarriage very carefully before the purchase and didn't see any oil dripping or residue.
Plugged in my Blue Driver OBD2 reader and didn't see any code either.
Lastly, I asked the Lexus dealer and they said they already checked with no issue.

This is from the Lexus Driver record:
11/2021
Service: *** OPCODE NOT ON

REPORT ***
Description: *** OPCODE NOT ON
REPORT ***~|~ ~|~ ~|~NO ISSUES
FOUND OTHER THAN AN OIL LEAK
OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN

Any thoughts?
I'm going to clean the engine bay and see any new oil residue in the future but if anyone knows the possible issue or what to look for?
Many thanks in advance!

I think the cleaning it up and seeing if it comes back is best plan. Any chance it’s from someone doing a bad job of pouring oil into the fill spout?

In your second picture I see what looks like a crankcase ventilation hose going into the head cover just aft of the oil filler neck. In other pics it crosses over to the other head cover and airbox. It looks loose on the metal tube its on. If that is a crankcase breather hose I bet that loose connection would be the source of the oil residue you see.

This answer sounds way better than mine.

Wow! Thank you so much for your expert advice.
