Mark was nice enough to loan out his garage to get my engine swap done. Who wants to come and help? Of course I'll be providing food and beverages for everyone. We could also do some other things to. Come help a brother out! :) I'm sure mvm will provide some directions as the it gets closer.
Thanks, Marty

We will be in the middle of a SAS on a 91 runner we are building for Vince so there will be some other stuff you guys can check out too.

4800 Shuster Road Unit A (I moved)
Columbus 43216

Just plug that into a map program

I don't have much experience working on an FJ40 or at least it has been more than 7 years since I drove mine, but if you guys don't mind, I'd like to come and hang out. As long as you guys don't laugh at my ride ;p

Anyone is smarter than me ;) Come on...
It just a few bolts and some wires isn't it?

I will pencil it in. Do we need any tools?

Mark will you let me weld something. anything, I just like sparklers.

Nice!

Three days after I get back from overseas.

A blast indeed.

It's in the calendar. Thanks for hosting Mark.

See you all then.
Best.

I didn't think you would be back before then, glad you'll be able to make it!

Bring your jump box of tools for the truck as they might have specific specialty tools I don't have. Never really worked on a Cruza before.

However, we have quite an assortment and sure Warren, you can weld. There's a plasma cutter there too and a tube bender, torch set..

Hey! maybe we will fire up the Alchohal go-kart. Damn thing can do like 80

From my limited experience, you can take apart a 40 with only your socket set (granted you have metric sockets; probably 2-3 really big sockets if wheel bearings are involved, and no, you don't need the 13mm :) ) and closed/open end metric wrenches + screw drivers. In case rust is prevalent, breaker bar and excellent penetrant will be needed. To put things back properly, add torque wrench.

Thats all we need, drunk kids in an 80 mph go cart :)

I thought I was hot s*** cause I had dual refridgerators and a camoflage riding lawn mower.

Might need to think about putting in some new seats and some brackets.

Warren,
No need to feel inadequate. :frown:
I think your P-40 "Flying Tigers" paintjob is bada$$ on a lawnmower. :grinpimp:

When are we gonna do it to the FJ40? Ace hardware sells pretty good rattlecan paint, I hear. ;p

Oh, and I should be able to make it for the engine swapping festivities. :bounce:

Yippie Jim will be there! We can get you that carb and cheeseburger ;)
I won't be up there anytime before then otherwise I would get it to you sooner.

Nice...I'll pick up the burgers and dogs and chips and some drinks.

Just keeping this fresh in everyone's mind :)

fish stick tacos.......I'll make YOU whatever you want ;)
