You should put this pic with your original question.

It looks resto but it has a few things wrong: There is no fan shroud on the radiator, you will want to loose the metal fan blade(replace with a non disintegrating plastic version) which originally was orange, the hoses on the radiator should be molded not flex-type hoses and what color is the firewall and interior of the engine bay/ fenders? Was this rig disassembled before the "resto" or was it repainted where visible and then painted black where necessary. No decal on the valve cover. "F-135". Does it still have the glass fuel filter?

Whoever did this made it look nice but may not have been as thorough about what is not seen judging by the non-stock modifications- if you are going to go that far, why not do it totally stock as much as possible.
Be cautious.

Thanks for the info . This truck has lots of questionable items and the guy wants 14k. The truck is green, i posted pictures on the board. If you send me your email I will send you all the pictures I received. Every one that has seen the truck pictures, say one thing;l Is it all bonded up?But again, why would you spend so much money in the interior and paint if it was a rust bucket?

The Engine bays of the older cruisers were painted black from the factory. They were not painted body color till 67-68.

I suppose they weren't real consistent as I have seen 66's painted a body color and have seen others as well w/out a repaint. Definitely like the body color as well. Black hides a lot!

I don't know about his price, seems kind of steep. On the other hand if it is a rust free rig and every thing was done right, with labor it wouldn't be hard to put that much into a restoration if you bought a fixer and did it/had it done. It seems like decent 45's are going for around 9k on Ebay so this may not be an insane price if the body and engine work is top notch quality. Just looks like some of the details at least were over looked.
Either way I would take a couple of highly qualified cruiser-head-critics with you to check it out, definitely don't buy sight unseen. Good luck!
