Hi,

I've already posted the question before about the oil light cominmg on when the oil level is within the range of the dipstick. Well, if I need to add a 1/2 quart or even a quart, fine, I can live with it. But whe the oil level is almost full, I mean the range is completely covered with oil, why the engine light would come on?????
Is it electrical or my oil sending unit is bad????
Thanks for all suggestions and comments.

it is electrical and *could* be a bad/corroded connection on the sending unit. Check the sending unit connection. The unit itself could be bad also, but I would suspect the connection first.

On my Toyota Previa Van the oil level guage was stuck on. I removed it, cleaned it and installed it. It worked.
I am sure you can do the same on the 80.
I think all you need is a gasket as I have one for when I was going to drop the oil pans. Cdan will know.
