Good day All,

I am having oil leakage problems on my 1hz engine. See attached photos shows leaking from the driver's side of the engine block from the rocker cover down to the drip pan side. I am not sure if it's my head gasket leaking/rocker cover or the connection to the exhaust manifolds. Can someone please help me.

Hi mate hard to tell from that photo but it's most likely the rocker cover gasket is leaking oil over the engine but unusual to leak at the front of the engine do you park facing down hill.

I would suggest wiping it down and cleaning it all up and then go for a drive to warm it up and watch where it leaks from. I tend to agree that its the rocker cover. They have a torque setting of 8ft lbs from memory but I would check it before adjusting them. The plastic cover is very soft and if the screws are over torqued, it will warp and leak.
If you retorque it, you might as well check the gasket.

Front of the engine could also mean the cam seal has given up. I think its an o ring but its been a while since I have done one.
You sometimes get one with a timing belt kit.

Thanks, roscoFJ73. The leak is not in front of the engine. Its coming from drivers side (right-hand side of the vehicle).

roscoFJ73. I have read on the internet that applying talcum powder or baby powder to the engine surface would be easier. Have you tried this before? and would you recommend this?

Talc is usually used for finding very fine cracks in metal.
If you clean it ,warm the engine, you should see where its leaking from.
You will have to clean it at some point anyway.
The location of the leak looks to be on the front RHS of the engine. The radiator fan often blows oil backwards
