I had the injection pump and the injectors rebuilt locally. When I got the truck back it would start bucking at about 1700 to 1800 rpms or around 70 Km per hour until it got beyond that . Once it got to 80 Km it would smooth out. If I kicked it down it would stop bucking and just go. I taken it back 3 times to the rebuilder but the problem persist. I think it is the pump and he thinks it is the tranny. There were no issues before the rebuild so I want him to recheck the pump and he doesn't saying that he has done hundreds and never had a problem so he doubts it is the pump. Has anyone had a similar issue before? I should add he has had the truck for a week this time.

What truck? What year? What engine? Need a few more details. You don’t want the Tesla guys chiming in.

Landcruiser 91 Hdj 81 6 cylinder turbo. If you use the throttle to rev it up in park, the engine goes from smooth to starting to shake back to smooth once you get beyond that rpm spot.

The timing marks in the timing belt area are all aligned;if that is what you are referring to.

If its happening when you are stationary, its not the transmission.

Is the fuel cut solenoid wire on tight?

Is it making smoke when it stumbles, colour?

Is the bucking regular or of varying intervals?

When he says he has done hundreds, does he mean pumps like yours?

A video might help jog a memory.

That is the weird thing the truck is not having any smoke issues. That doesn't mean there is no smoke when it does this when I'm driving , I just haven't noticed any. The stumbling occurs consistently at about 1800 rpms unless I push it.

Did you tell him the problem is there when its in Park? I would get someone else to take it to 1800rpm while you watch the smoke, if any.
Did you refit the pump and injectors?
Take a mechanically minded witness when you deal with him.
A transmission specialist opinion would help.

I did both the injectors and the pump and I did show that it is there in park, but people are stubborn when they get an idea. I also took it to a tranny shop and they found no problem . I think I 'm just going to Have to send the pump somewhere else but that will cost more dollars and then trying to get a refund for him.

If he refuses to talk, name and shame him so no one else has to put up with his BS
